Best of Toronto's Ice Cream

Gelato Simply Italian is by far the best gelato in Toronto. No other gelato could compare even a little to what I’ve had in Rome, until now. It’s tasty, delish, refreshing - each spoon of each variety is an explosion of flavour in your mouth. Owner Alessandro Buccianti, former partner at Il Gelatiere, has been in this business for years. In fact, he still runs a successful gelataria in Rome with his mother. Both he and his staff are very knowledgeable about their products, and are very excited to share their delicious delicacies with everyone who walks in his door. On a daily basis you’ll find 48 flavours to choose from, but Buccianti boasts that he has over 130 flavours in total, which he continually rotates and prepares seasonly. My favourites are bacio, nocciola, and torrone. Though his banana, made with real bananas is mouth-watering, and his limone is so nice and sour it’s lip-smacking. All the gelato is made from scratch, with real ingredients and loads of real fruit - whether it’s watermelon, raspberry, pear, or strawberry. They also serve up  a really good homemade espresso granita! More
